On May 20, 2025, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) organized cooperation activities between the HUCE and Chodai & Kiso-Jiban Vietnam Co., Ltd. The program was organized to enhance cooperation, research, and support the training of high-quality human resources for the high-speed railway construction industry and key national programs in the coming time.
The program's activities include: Signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the HUCE and Chodai & Kiso-Jiban Vietnam Co., Ltd. On this occasion, Chodai & Kiso-Jiban Vietnam Co., Ltd. awarded scholarships to the Scholarship Fund and Student Movement of the Faculty of Bridges and Roads, HUCE. Also at the event, the Center for Railway Innovation (UHRI Hub) coordinated with the Faculty of Bridges and Roads to organize a seminar on "High-speed Railway: Opportunities and Challenges".
Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector of Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering said: Currently, Vietnam is planning 5 key technical higher education institutions, in which Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering is one of the units that focuses on investment in the field of architecture and construction. The school focuses on promoting innovation, implementing practical research projects to support infrastructure development, and strengthening cooperation with experienced international partners. The school is very interested in and implementing many cooperative activities with Japanese partners - a country that has deployed high-speed railways since 1964. Through the coordination of organizing the seminar "High-speed railways: Opportunities and Challenges", the school hopes to have many practical proposals sent to competent authorities, contributing to the development of appropriate development policies in the coming time. At the Seminar, experts shared valuable information and experiences from Japan and construction sites serving the construction of high-speed railways. These contents will be synthesized, researched and applied by the Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering to training for the High-speed Railway Construction industry and related industries.
